Who we are

Emotikon is a German band located in Cologne. If you love catchy eurodance and synthwave, you've come to the right place! Three's a crowd: Tom Tron, Natalie Malladi-Rao and Jan Palkoska.


Natalie - Vocals

Natalie Malladi-Rao is Emotikon's new vocalist. She joined the band in October 2014. An experienced singer with a lot of stage experience, EMOTIKON is her first venture into electronic pop music. Her family is from Hyderabad in Southern India. Like Tom, she works as a screenwriter as a "day job".

Tom Tron - Composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist

Tom got into the media biz as a video game composer after finding out that his older brother's home computer could produce funny noises. He later went to film school and studied screenwriting, which is currently his day-time job. He likes old synthesizers and spends a lot of time combing and blow-drying his hair. He co-founded EMOTIKON in 2011 with singer/actress Mine Voss.

Jan Palkoska - Drums and Percussion

Jan is a passionate drummer with two decades worth of stage experience. He has played in many bands, displaying a wide range of genres from rock and pop to cover bands. He joined the band in 2015 when Tom and Natalie were in search for a drummer in order to play more live gigs. He's a huge fan of the Sonor drum brand.
